Durchführen des Updates:

Das SP HMC_Update_V9R2M953_ppc.iso wurde heruntergeladen und auf dem NIM-Server abgelegt.

CorrectiveServiceLocation hat den folgenden Wert:

CorrectiveServiceLocation ftp://fwtrans:abc1234@172.30.57.57//export/hmc

Der Update kann dann ganz einfach mittels „hmc updhmc“ gestartet werden:

$ hmc updhmc -r hmc01 HMC_Update_V9R2M953_ppc.iso

Da die Option „-r“ (reboot) verwendet wurde, wird im Anschluß an die Installation des Service-Packs die HMC automatisch rebootet.

Nach dem Reboot ist die neue Version aktiv:

$ hmc version -i hmc01

MH01934 - HMC V9R2 M953
$
