An dieser Stelle hat man die Möglichkeit einige zusätzliche Informationen über Konfigurationsdateien, Filesets usw. zu erhalten. Über den Punkt „4 Reboot without migrating“ kann die Migration auch abgebrochen werden.

Da wir die Migration weiterhin durchführen wollen, bestätigen wir den Default „0 Continue with the migration.“. Die Migration wird damit gestartet.

Es werden zunächst einige Vorarbeiten durchgeführt, die in Form eines Fortschritts angezeigt werden:

Nachdem etwas mehr als 700 Filesets installiert sind, kommt eine Aufforderung das zweite Installations-Medium einzulegen:

Mit dem LPAR-Tool kann das zweite Installations-Medium wie folgt eingelegt werden:

$ lpar loadopt -f aix05 AIX_720500_DVD_2.iso
$

Ohne LPAR-Tool muss das Medium wieder über den padmin Benutzer auf dem entsprechenden Virtual-I/O-Server gewechselt werden:

padmin@ms25-vio2 $ loadopt -f -disk AIX_720500_DVD_1.iso -vtd aix05_cd 
padmin@ms25-vio2 $

Hinweis: In beiden Fällen sorgt die Option „-f“ (force) dafür das man das schon eingelegte Medium nicht zuerst entladen muss.

Nachdem das Installations-Medium gewechselt wurde, kann die Migration durch Drücken von ENTER fortgesetzt werden.

Nach Abschluß der eigentlichen Migration wird das System automatisch rebootet:
