The command “hmc lsviosimg” can be used to display the Virtual I/O Server installation images stored on an HMC:

   hmc lsviosimg [-o <format>] [{-f|-j|-y}] [-F <fields>] [-s <selections>] [-v] <hmc>

Installation images for virtual I/O servers can be stored on the HMCs. These are saved on the HMC hard disk in the /extra/viosimages directory. The images stored on an HMC can be displayed with “hmc lsviosimg”:

$ hmc lsviosimg hmc01

To install a virtual I/O server using an HMC and the stored installation images, the commands “vios installios” or “hmc installios” can be used.
