Removing a Remote Syslog Destination

If messages should no longer be sent to a specific remote syslog destination, the destination can easily be removed using the “hmc rmsyslog” command. The hostname (or IP address) and the protocol used must be specified. In the case of udp, the protocol can be omitted.

If, for example, forwarding via TCP to the host server02 should no longer take place, the destination can be removed with the following command:

$ hmc rmsyslog hmc03 server02 tcp
