To download HMC iFixes, service packs or release levels, you must first go to theIBM Fix Centralwebsite with a browser, the URL is: https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral. Enter the term “Hardware Management” in the “Product selector” field and then select the correct entry for your own HMC model from the pull-down menu.The choices include:
Power Hardware Management Console for 7042/7310 Machine Types
Power Hardware Management Console for 7063 Machine Types
Power Hardware Management Console virtual appliance for POWER-based systems
Power Hardware Management Console virtual appliance for x86 (Other Software)
Inportant: Be sure to select one of the menu items from the pull-down menu. Only then will another selection be displayed!
Next, a release level must be selected from the “Installed Version” pull-down menu. For an upgrade you select the target release level, for updates you select the installed release level. The selection can be confirmed by pressing the “Continue” button.
A list of fixes and service packs, as well as the recovery medium for the selected release level, will be displayed for selection.
To select iFixes for a service pack, click “Show patched by” under the corresponding service pack. If you want to update to a new release level or a new service pack, you should check under “Show requisite fixes” to see whether there are iFixes that must be installed for the update or upgrade.
