There are various options for administering an HMC, connected managed systems and LPARs. The most popular tool is probably the HMC GUI via the browser. However, the HMC also offers a CLI that is used by some administrators. PowerVC is often used in larger environments.

The LPAR tool is a convenient way to administer all LPARs, managed systems and HMCs from one (or several) central locations.
