The successor to the 7063-CR1 HMC is the 7063-CR2 HMC. Like its predecessor, it contains a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC). Instead of a POWER8 processor, a POWER9 processor is used. The model offers the possibility that HMC and BMC can use a common Ethernet port.

The 7063-CR2 HMC has the following hardware components:

  • 64 GB or 128 GB DDR4-RAM
  • 2 SAS disks with 1.8 TB
  • 2 USB 3.0 Ports (front)
  • 2 USB 3.0 Ports (rear)
  • four  1 Gb Ethernet ports
  • optional: two 10 Gb Ethernet
  • one 1 Gb Ethernet for BMC management

The minimal HMC version is V9.R2.950.
