AIX Web Download Pack Programs

A number of software packages, such as

    • Rsyslog
    • Bind
    • Xgzip
    • SMB Client
    • RPM Package Manager
    • Python3
    • Perl
    • OpenSSL
    • OpenSSH
    • NTPv4
    • and other

can be downloaded from the „AIX Web Download Pack Programs“ website of the Marketing Registration Services (MRS). OpenSSL and OpenSSH in particular are likely to be frequent candidates for download. A valid IBMid is required to access the website!

The call is made via the URL www.ibm.com/resources/mrs/assets/packageList?source=aixbp:

When you access the URL, you are redirected to a login screen. There you must first enter a valid IBMid:

Next, you must enter the password associated with the specified IBMid:

After a successful login, the available downloads are displayed in a table:

The desired software can then be selected and downloaded.
