If reverting the security settings as described in Resetting Security Settings (undo) doesn’t resolve the issue, you can apply the default security level. The security settings will then correspond to a system installed with defaults.

Applying the default security level (DLS) allows you to regularly run checks of the security settings (“aixpert -c“) to detect deviations from the default. This would otherwise not be so easy on a system installed with the default security level without applying the default security level.
