The bash is very popular with many users and administrators of UNIX/AIX systems. Especially when used interactively, it has a number of advantages over e.g. ksh.

Although bash is used every day, many users know only a few of bash‘s useful features. The aim of this book is to show the user some of the diverse possibilities of bash with regard to efficient working. Mainly topics related to the interactive use of bash are dealt with. Script programming with bash is not the subject of the book.

Since the topics are not specific to AIX, this book can also be used without restrictions by users of other UNIX systems.
