The NX Accelerator can be used on managed systems from POWER9 on. In the case of a POWER9 managed system, system firmware 940 (or higher) must be installed. The firmware version can be easily checked with the “ms lslic” command:

Note: If no managed system is explicitly specified, the firmware version of all managed systems is displayed.

If an older firmware is installed, the firmware must be upgraded before an NX Accelerator can be used.
