The Fix Central website allows you to download fixes and updates for software, hardware and operating systems.Service packs (SP) and technology levels (TL) can be downloaded for AIX.Access toFix Centralis generally possible without an IBMid.Depending on the type of specific fix or update, however, an IBMid and the serial number of a system with a valid support contract is usually requested before downloading.
You can find a fix or update using either the “Find product” or the “Select product” tab. To find updates for a specific AIX version, we recommend first selecting “IBM Operating Systems” using the “Select product” tab:

Then, AIX can simply be selected from the list of available operating systems:

Afterwards you can select the desired AIX version, in the example AIX 7.3:

To download updates, select “Fix packs” from the list of features:
Preparing the available updates takes a few seconds. All available service packs and technology levels for the selected AIX version are displayed for selection:

The desired service packs and/or technology levels can be easily selected. The selection is confirmed by pressing the “Continue” button:

When selecting the download options, it is recommended to select “Download files as a single .iso image“, otherwise all associated download files must be selected individually. For a TL or SP, this can easily be more than 100 files.
Downloading a TL or SP requires an IBMid. You must also provide the serial number of a system with a valid maintenance contract.
