Using the NX Accelerator in AIX

The NX (gzip) Accelerator can be used on AIX if the following conditions are met:

    • The AIX LPAR runs on a managed system with POWER9 (firmware version 940 or later) or POWER10 (see Managed Systems with NX Accelerator)
    • The AIX LPAR runs in processor mode “POWER9” or “POWER10” (see Processor Mode for LPARs)
    • AIX is installed at version 7.2 TL4 (or later) or 7.3.
    • The fileset zlibNX.rte must be installed.
