x86 vHMC

The x86 vHMC virtual appliance can be installed in an x86 virtualization environment. The following hypervisors are supported:

    • KVM
    • Xen
    • VMware

To run a virtual HMC in a virtualization guest, it requires at least the following resources:

    • 4 virtual processors
    • 16 GB RAM
    • 2 Ethernet interfaces
    • 1 hard disk with at least 500 GB

The x86 virtual HMC image can be downloaded from IBM Entitled Systems Support.
